Elmo Teitelbaum suffered an acute heart attack in the summer of 2019. He was brought to Maimonides, where he was treated for approximately five weeks. Our expert cardiac team placed Mr. Teitelbaum on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy, providing essential respiratory and cardiac support, which saved his life.

Following his successful recovery, Mr. Teitelbaum visited Maimonides last December, accompanied by his family, to personally thank his physicians for their wonderful care. Together, they celebrated Mr. Teitelbaum’s recovery and raised a glass to his continued good health.
