During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our outstanding clinicians continued to provide safe, exemplary care to treat patients with a range of medical conditions. At Maimonides Children’s Hospital, one of our young patients underwent oral surgery in April and stayed with us for four days, as he successfully recovered.
Following his successful recovery, Mr. Elmo Teitelbaum visited Maimonides in December, accompanied by his family, to personally thank his physicians for their wonderful care. Together, they celebrated Mr. Teitelbaum’s recovery and raised a glass to his continued good health.
Twelve-year-old April Quezada, a patient at the Maimonides Cancer Center, always dreamed of becoming a K-9 Unit police officer. Recently, that dream became one step closer to reality, thanks to a heartwarming collaboration between Maimonides and the Port Authority Police Department (PAPD).
Maimonides Medical Center recently marked a special milestone — the discharge of our 1,000th COVID-19 recovered patient who headed home to his family after thanking the clinicians who took care of him during his hospital stay.
